LVHN to create Air Products Center for Connected Care and Innovation in downtown Allentown
Congratulations to Lehigh Valley Health Network and Air Products on their announcement that they will jointly create the new Air Products Center for Connected Care and Innovation at One City Center in downtown Allentown.
“In his comments, LVHN President and CEO Brian Nester noted LVHN’s special connection to Air Products: It was Air Products founder Leonard Pool who provided the initial funding for LVHN’s flagship Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest campus.
Additionally, before his death in 1975, Pool established the Dorothy Rider Pool Health Care Trust with a $15 million donation, instructing that it have a 50-year life span and its sole beneficiary be LVHN. That seed money, under financial stewardship, has multiplied over time. Thus far, the trust has disbursed $137 million, and it continues to hold $85 million in assets.”
